On HoldI have had to put the project on hold temporarily. My wife Terry and I have started the ball rolling for leaving the Houston area. We have sold our house, and are currently in a temporary rental. Therefore the project is also in temporary storage. There are several reasons for making this big move in the middle of the project, but I won't bore you with those details in this web site. The good news is that I have my name on a waiting list at a very nice airport in our target destination. The price per month for hangers there is literally half what it is in the Houston area. There are several aspects of our plan that will really help the ES project in the long run. However, the fact that I am not making any progress now is pretty hard to take. In the mean time I am working on researching instrument and avionics options. Figuring out how I want to design the electrical system. Evaluating the "Vacuum vs All Electric Panel" issue that many builders struggle with, and a few other technical issues. It is interesting, so far, the easy part has been building the airplane, the hard part is making many of the configuration decisions that are up to me (the builder). I have received many e-mails from concerned readers wondering if I had quit building. The answer is a resounding "Absolutely Not!!!". I will continue with the ES, and I will continue with the web site. Don Parsons |
